All prices and supplies boards are being activated in all district headquarters of Punjab. Official sources told Business Recorder here on Saturday that the step has been taken under the directives of the government for bringing down the prices of articles of daily use and to discourage the trend of price hike in all districts of the province.

The district governments have been directed to take efficient measures for monitoring the prices of essential articles of daily use as well as minimising the prices of meat, mutton and other articles of daily use in their respective districts.

In addition to this, display of rate cards of essential commodities at every shop should be ensured and the markets should be suddenly checked for assessing the prices of articles of daily use, sources added.
